Scott makes it FUN...

and we play games as well as learning the notes and tunes.

I look forward to the lesson, he is kind and always smiling. We have a great time.

Holly Jenkins (ages 6 years)
First-rate tuition!

Scott has great patience and our daughter thoroughly enjoys her (keyboard) lessons.

Barry Kinghorn (parent)
I have recently started...

having piano lessons after a gap of thirty odd years and hand on heart I am enjoying learning a lot lot more this time round.  Scott is a very patient teacher and his gentle encouragement means that you always want to give your best.

Even practicing between lessons isn't the slog it used to be.

Thank you Scott for re-kindling my love of the piano and introducing me to a much wider repertoire of piano music than the typical  examination pieces I had to play way back then.

Suzanne Nevitt (an enthusiastic 'mature' student)
"So much fun and a giggle while learning to play .

I got an EXCELLENT exam mark after taking Piano Lessons with Scott. My previous teacher said I wasn't capable of doing it!"

Ruth Slocombe (age 12 years)
Having taken up piano lessons...

after 37 years (how many???!) I never had this much fun when I learned as a child.

For any other "Mature" students I can highly recommend lessons with Scott. Don't just wish you could play - it's never too late to start.

I have been a student learning the keyboard at The Music Chamber for several years now and I have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of teaching. Throughout the time I have been taught I have learnt an incredible amount in a manner that suited me best. After having tuition for a while I began to feel exams were a lot of hard work and I would rather progress my learning more casually.

Teacher Scott Lannie was very supportive and accommodated for this well and I am now still successfully developing my playing very well. The Music Chamber also provides you with a wide range of styles of pieces to learn, unlike many teachers who tend to teach often strictly classical music. Not only have I experienced excellent tuition, I have also used the recording facilities to produce CD's for my recent GCSE course. These were also exceptionally well managed; simarly to the tuition.

Overall, the Music Chamber offers a high quality of teaching that adapts to how and what you want to learn. This makes for an enjoyable experience in learning whatever instrument you decide to undertake and you are assured to progress to a high standard of performance.

Scott...
has given me keyboard lessons for almost 2 years.
I feel I have progressed further than with previous teachers.

I would recommend his friendly relaxed style of teaching to all ages of pupils.

Ann McKenna (adult)
The Music Chamber
is a great place to learn to play an instrument.

The lessons are taught in a relaxed atmosphere where you learn at your own pace and the lessons can be fitted around you're schedule.

Lyndsay Smith (adult)
Ian King's CD 'from Root to Sky'
has been played on various radio stations, including Radio 3. It was recorded entirely at 'The Music Chamber.'

Ian writes: "I would recommend any recording artist to work with Scott for his all-round professionalism and his patient and helpful attitude.

His technical expertise and attention to detail make him a great engineer.

He also co-produced the CD with me, as we found it easy to work together, and his ideas on the performing, arranging and overal mixing of the tracks were very helpful.

He even did a great job preparing all the artwork for the CD."

Sorry to all the students that I have missed out... so many more.
My Father's recording...

Dear Scott,

We'd like to thank you, again, for your work in transferring my dad's songs and sayings from audio tape to CD.

The result was far, far better than we ever thought possible. You obviously worked a lot harder than we expected - so thank you for 'going the extra mile' (or two, or three...)

Best Wishes
Bob & Doreen Small

Scott is a very good and fun...
music teacher with his steady and easy methods to becoming a great keyboard / piano player.

When I started about 2 and a half years ago, I barely knew anything about notes or rhythm but over time with his help I have become quite good and passed both of the exams I have done so far, with an upper distinction and with 98% both times.

Scott has been very helpful and never gets irritated if it takes me a long time to get a piece of music correct and with his patience I always get it right in the end.

Thank you!
