Ian King's CD

'from Root to Sky' has been played on various radio stations, including Radio 3. It was recorded entirely at 'The Music Chamber.' Ian writes: "I would recommend any recording artist to work with Scott for his all-round professionalism and his patient and helpful attitude.

His technical expertise and attention to detail make him a great engineer. He also co-produced the CD with me, as we found it easy to work together, and his ideas on the performing, arranging and overall mixing of the tracks were very helpful.

He even did a great job preparing all the artwork for the CD."

My Father's recording

Dear Scott, we'd like to thank you, again, for your work in transferring my dad's songs and sayings from audio tape to CD.

The result was far, far better than we ever thought possible. You obviously worked a lot harder than we expected - so thank you for 'going the extra mile' (or two, or three...)

Best Wishes Bob & Doreen Small

BBC Radio 4

'Morning Story' During the 1980's, BBC Radio 4 broadcast a short story programme called 'Morning Story' read by various well known actprs. I was fortunate to have some of mine chosen.

My late husband had recorded these stories on a reel to reel Ferograph tape recorder. It was the Aston Martin of tape recorders in those days, but heavy and unweildly.

In 2010 at my request, Scott took this recorder along with the old tapes, some of which were in the wrong jackets and belonged to other recordings, and produced a first class professional CD of them. He has also rapidly provided copies, at my request for my friends.

It is unlikely nowadays that I shall continue writing, but who knows? Scott is not only a gifted artist/technician, he also has a wonderful knack of encouraging you to think 'why not'.

My interest is in musicology.

In that connection, I have a number of archive video tapes which not only capture significant musical performances but also contain valuable background notes on composers and performers.

That information, frequently incidental, is extremely useful for me and it is, of course, essential that everything on the various videos is carefully preserved.

I have chosen to transfer the material contained on the VHS tapes to the much more up to date and convenient DVD format and have employed The Music Chamber to undertake that work.

I have found Mr. Lannie's work to be of a high order. Everything I wanted from the videos has been most carefully transferred to DVD. Moreover, the finished DVD article is attractively presented in an agreeable container.

Mr. Lannie is a friendly, cheerful and conscientious person and I have no hesitation in recommending him as one who can most usefully undertake the work described above.
